William Cavell Matson or William Matson Cavell of Deal abt1803-1879?

Hello,
I wonder if anyone can help with the Cavell family of Deal?
My interest is in the parents of William Matson Cavell who also seems to be recorded as William Cavell Matson.
I believe he was born about 1803 and died in the June quarter of 1879 (from free bmd) when the record says he was aged 74.
I have his parents as Thomas Matson and Elizabeth which is based on this reference - Elizabeth MATSON widow of Thomas, and children:  Elizabeth 19, Edward John 12,  Thomas Richard 10,  Robert Seth 6,  Wm Cavill 4,  Emma Ann 6/12  Settlement Certificate  FROM Burnham, Sussex  10 Nov 1827 (St Marys Walmer Settlements)
However the age of 4 shown in this could be an error.
I would like to identify the parents of Thomas Matson and his widow Elizabeth. I'm guessing that Elizabeth may have been Elizabeth Cavell prior to her marriage.
I have also found this reference to William Matson Cavell -
William Matson Cavell Esq. Mayor of Deal is listed as a Director of “The Downs Docks Company Limited”
in The Examiner (London, England), Saturday, June 17, 1865; Issue 2994
Can anyone help with perhaps the marriage record of Thomas and Elizabeth or finding where/if the Cavell family link to the Matsons?

The only Baptisms I have for Deal are for St George's, & there are quite a few CAVELLs there.

What do you make of this, although different parents to your info -

William & Mary Ann had several children with what looks like surnames for middle names, including another with Matson.

Let me know if you would like the details of the other children of William & Mary Ann.

I've looked for MATSONs, but there's nothing including the name CAVELL.

William & Elizabeth Eve Matson had two children, including William baptised 21st Sep 1804.

The only other Matson family are William & Mary, with children baptised between 1791-1801.

Well, that's rather confused things!
Yes please I would love to have the other children of William and Mary Ann, especially the other with Matson as a middle name,  and also the details of William and Elizabeth Eve, I wonder if she was also a Cavell?, and their children.
It seems there must be a link between the two families but as yet there is more to find out.
I believe that William Matson Cavell was also a Mayor of Deal so perhaps there may be some help in records of Mayors.

The records I have only go up to 1822, so there may be more children.


*The other MATSON couple, William & Mary, had 9 children baptised, including Richard Hyder in 1787, so that looks like another family name to add to the mix

There are some CAVELL Burials in St George's, these match with the Baptisms:

3rd Mar 1815  John Matson CAVELL age 3.  Middle St.
16 Mar 1816  Henry Slaughter CAVELL  age 4m.  Middle St.
20th Jul 1821 Thomas Hyder CAVELL age 1.  Middle St.
2nd Dec 1825  Mary Ann CAVELL  age 18.  Middle St.

Possibly of interest:
10 Oct 1823 Mary Ann CAVELL age 41.  Middle St.

And two other Cavell burials from Middle St. around that time:

Skimming down to look for Motson as a variant of Matson (I didn't find any) I went too fast & this caught my eye (not that you need yet another surname!!)

Whoever this Hyder person turns out to be, he clearly got around
