Baptist History

Here are some links to help those seeking the elusive Baptists....

http://www.baptist.org.uk/resources/sermon_study_resources.asp?section=39
has some Baptist records (but not many)

http://www.baptisthistory.org.uk/basicpage.php?contents=publications&page_title=Publications
Again some Baptist records - and also a lot of history - somewhere on here is a list of obituaries in the Baptist Handbook - but I can't find it at the moment. They are also trying to put the Baptist Quarterly Archives on line

http://www.strictbaptisthistory.org.uk/publications.htm

I also know of a book on the Baptists of the North East http://www.slashhome.co.uk/

And one of the Baptists of Derbyshire - there is not a link on line but I can provide you with details if you are interested.

If anyone has anything else to add that would be really helpful!

Claire

New Link!

For the obits, click on the genealogy link, scroll down and there is a single line referring to obits and follow the link.

My Great Uncle is listed.

Some Strict or Particular Baptists were affiliated to The Gospel Standard.  Their library was very helpful when I was researching some of my Baptist connections
