Noake birth if possible
« on: Monday 11 August 08 20:34 BST (UK) »
Can anyone help with trying to help find the birth/christening of John Noake? I have hit a brickwall and can find his birth anywhere.
John married Eleanor Stephens in Claverly, Shropshire in 1807, They had 7 children from 1808 to 1825 and all were born in wombourne, staffs
I would of thought he was born circa 1780, but I have had no luck in tracing his birth/death or parents at all.
Any help or advice would be greatful

Hi again Robphill
Can you point me in the right direction of Averley?
I found the John Noke above on the IGI. Do you or can anyone else help and let me know how I could search for the whole family on the IGI to find out if there where any other children born to William and Mary?
Sorry to ask for your help again  :-[

Hi Dave,
You will find Alveley on the A442 between Kidderminster and Bridgnorth. My uncle had a cottage there when I was a youngster!!
I think the only way to try to find Nokes children is to go onto familysearch.org, type in the surname and 'England' and trawl through all the names checking for parents. Sometimes, you can go into 'Advanced Search' and type in the county, which will narrow things down somewhat. Leet me know how it goes.
Regards,
Rob.

Thanks for that Rob, I know now where Alverley is. Not far from me really. I might just take a ride down there on Sunday, if time permits.

Hello Jackie thank you for your input into my post.
The names of John and Eleanors children are as follows.

Hannah b 1810, John Stephens b 1808, Mary 1811, Sarah 1814, Edward 1817, Eleanor 1821 and Hannah 1825. All were born in wombourne so not very far from Alverley area.
