not 100%, having trouble connecting them, William death says he was born 1836 however, i think I found his christening which is 1820 16 years seems a big difference for an error.
Unless elizabeth was actually his mother, i check that out a minute.

Saw 1820 christening in IGI and wondered but Hughes and Evans are both such common surnames maybe it's a different family.

I see in 1901 Oliver is in Pontardawe registration district with his wife Sarah, children and brother-in-law Arthur MORGAN. This looks like it could be Oliver's marriage,

County: Breconshire, Glamorgan 

Sarah MORGAN with same details.

getting this would hopefully give you his father's name.



This could be the 1881 Oliver in 1891,

Am concerned about Oliver Evans- looks like there are 2- one born California and other in Ohio. Need to be very careful the details/families don't get mixed up.

im really having trouble with this one, think im going to have to send for the wedding certificate, I have a lot on this weekend guys as its my daughter 1st birthday party on saturday, and to top it off my washing machine packed in, so I will have to wait for about 2 weeks before i send for the certificate as i better wait till pay day.

I will keep trying though until then, sorry if i dont reply until Monday, as I have my partners family from cornwall up visiting all weekend, I should be able to pop in and out now and then though.

thanks again guys, you have really helped me with this, I was gonna give up on evans as its too popular a name.  but I glad i stuck with it.
