Lookup request-COMPLETED
« on: Wednesday 12 November 08 22:24 GMT (UK) »
Hi,
can someone find the marriage of this couple?
I think the marriage can be found in Crowland.

? WISHLADE to Mary WOOD- c 1810-1820

Also the death of Mr  WISHLADE  (also in Crowland I think.I know thay only had 4 children together but unfortunately I don't know the date of the last born because it would of course be after that)

Was there a marriage?

There were three kids born to a Mary WISHLADE at Spalding (no father named)
1832 Frances (Spalding workhouse in 1841)
1836 John
1839 Bales (died 1839)
If these are the wrong kids, you must tell us who the right ones are. :)

The 1841 census has
Deeping Fen
Mary WISHLADE 30 FemServ (NOT Lincs

Could she have been the MW bap in Herefordshire in 1811?  Was she the MW who married in Herefordshire in 1846?

Hi Geoff,
yes thats them. One of their children age 3 drowned in the dyke at Gypsy bridge.Very sad.Don't know the name though. So that would leave the 3 we see .
Looking in the IGI Wishlade it would seem is a Hereforshire name. There's loads of them there.
nee Woods) was born at East Bourn,Sussex or so I'm told by a relative who has traced her on future census.
One more thing, was Mary a widow or married on the 1841 census?

It doesn't say that sort of thing in 1841 census.

The baptisms appear to be kids of a single woman (not one with a husband anyway).

Also a Devon name.
