1911 census release date????
« on: Tuesday 06 January 09 16:46 GMT (UK) »
Hi all, This must have been asked somewhere on here already - apologies if I have missed it, but does anyone know the release date for the 1911 census. I'm registered on Findmypast, so keep getting emails from them saying 2009 is when they are releasing it, but when in 2009????
I, like many others, am waiting on this information to hopefully solve family mysteries and knock down those elusive 'brick walls'.
Happy hunting everyone.

Seems to be a question that is asked again and again on the forum set up with the beta testing site but they FindMyPast are keeping their cards close to their chest and not saying.

I guess it will be anytime from today to 31 December.  :-\

I had a look at the beta test, none of the counties I'm looking in were included, when I looked into it, I was told the full release is 2009.
Hopefully it'll be sooner rather than later!!

Guy Etchells has today posted on Usenet that the 1911 census is due to be re-launched on the 13th of
January.

I can't find any 'official' announcement.

The official website said 'later in 2009'.

We are all hoping that it's not going to be TOO much later in 2009  ;D

Then of course it'll be pay per view for a while.

I wonder how long it will be before it's available on one of the subscription sites....and will I still be alive  ::)
