missing 1911 census records for Copperfield Street
« on: Thursday 12 February 09 13:00 GMT (UK) »
I've tried to find ancestors who may have lived on Copperfield Street Belfast, but I cant find ANY record for ANYONE living on Copperfield Street.
Am I having a Senior moment rather early in life????

UPDATE 13-02-09 No records for Cornmarket either.
I cant see a way to contact anyone on the site regarding this even though they say there is a dynamic error transcription form, on which you can enter corrections, is available as a link from every household search/browse results page throughout the census site.

Might have found it but can you tell us the names you expect to find there so I can check a bit more to make sure.

Cardwell W J   23 Copperfield Street
was there in 1907 and 1910 Street Directory, who died in 1913 and that is the address given on death cert.

Thx

Did quite a bit of Googling for 'copperfield street belfast' and then searching for surnames in 1911 census. Came up with 'Moyola' as a possibility and when I checked an old map both Moyola St. and Copperfield St. are parallel and just below Upper Canning St. However, when I searched for Cardwell in 1911 census only one close is William H. Cardwell age 23 in Glencollyer St.

As to Cornmarket, it seems to have been entered as Corn Market, see:

Like you, I have not yet found Copperfield Street.

While we are on the subject of quality control, it is worth noting that:

Whitla Street is indexed as Whitta
Skegoniel Street is indexed as Skeguriel Street

One suspects that there has been little Belfast input to the project!
