Mary Brazier Marylebone
« on: Wednesday 18 March 09 01:03 GMT (UK) »
Hi there, Im after a Mary Brazier born about 1845 Marylebone Middlesex, she also shows up on the 1851 census as being at black horse yard, 14 marylebone... she was part of the gun lock making family Braziers who were aparently based both in London and here in Wolverhampton

a few of the other braziers are known to be in Marylebone road...

Anyone know anything?

Marys family are actually from Wolverhampton, but keep moving between London and Wolverhampton

No 14. Black Horse Yard was unoccupied in 1861.

I can't see it under Marylebone in 1871

In 1891 only numbers 1 - 6 were listed

Hope this helps   ;)

wow!!!... Im a londoner? lolol (not really)

Kate, was my great great nan! born and died here in Wolverhampton...

mary, jane and the next daughter where then all born in Marylebone!, so they obviously lived a big chunk up there!

Im guessing, the reason the father isnt there...

is that Frederick (for they were married in 1838 and died up here, wolverhampton only months apart (bronchitus) but im guessing that because the family made gun locks here and in london, he must have been going to and fro tween Wolverhampton and London taking the gunlocks perhaps?

Now im more intrigued than ever to know where this address actually is!

THANK YOU SO MUCH!

Hi, Try typing Gun makers index it to Google and you should be able to send for a free look up. They would also be glad of any information you can supply.
