Im still trying to find any info on Jane Hills when she arrived in VIC before she left for SA.
Jane was born 1852 in Sussex Eng and arrived in VIC on the Gresham in 1869 as a servant, IS there any way to find out who she worked for while she was there. She had 2 children one my great grandfather 1875 but his father wasnt listed it could of been robert henry griffiths, but he was aready married to someone i SA so he may not of been placed on the birth cert because of that.

is the any records i could find for her in VIC?? Im in WA so it makes it a little hard

There is a Jane HILLS who had 3 children, father unknown, in Victoria in 1873, 1875 and 1881.

Would you like the details?
Your great grandfather born in 1875.....was he born in Victoria?

hello, i have all that info, but im not sure the 1881 is hers as she was living in SA from 1876 with robert griffiths and had 2 children with him by then...Unless she went back to VIC to have a baby and came home again as she had more children after 1881 mmmmm can get confusing!

it makes me understand you have posted about her before.  I am not able to locate a thread on R chat about her anywhere though others may have more luck.

Could you please therefore give us what information you have and that will save "going over old ground"

Can you answer DEE's question about your G.grandfather please?

yes he was born in VIC 1875... i have posted on ancestry b4 i think. have given you what i know of her in VIC i dont need anything other than that as i have after 1875/76 when she was in SA and i can find records on her, i want to know is there anyway to find more on her in VIC from 1869-1876, where she worked?
