(First ever post, hope I've got everything right)
Looking for further information on John Barrett (apparently anglicized from Batho), my great-grandfather. I have him as head-of-family in the 1901 and 1911 censuses in South Wales, but cannot find anything for him or family under what he lists as his birthplace: "Moelfre, Denbigh".
Any hints on where to look next would be much appreciated, particularly anything related to the name changing.

p.s. I'm very glad to share what I do have, and have made a good start putting it up on Ancestry co uk website (along with the older photos), but for anyone who can use it, here is a summary of the relevant parts. In a perfect world, perhaps I could put my elderly Mum in touch with a relative she's never met?! Also someone related might find/Google this......
What I have confirmed is John Barrett/Batho [Let's call him "JB"] is birthdate (around 1865), married Sarah Clarke (of "Pantywain, Glamorgan") about 1890, and their children James, George, Thomas, Elizabeth, Sarah and Mary.
Also his siblings Robert, William, Emma, Richard and Huw (along with some of their family info) .
Unconfirmed is a record of JB's father's family (from scribbled notes, when I was a kid) in probable order of age:
(1) Aunt, Kathryn Batho (known as "Cutie"!!?!)
(2) Father, John Batho (see below)
(3) Uncle, Mathew Batho (uncertain)
(4) Uncle, Huw Batho
(5) Aunt, Ann(e) Batho
(6) William Cartwright Batho
(7) Aunt Emma, married an Edward, had daughter "Ginny".
Bits about JB's father, John Batho - lived in "Duffryn Cieriog, Glyncieriog Valley and LLanammon".
Bits about JB's mother, Mary "Maiden name either Morris or Stone, from Pontfadwg/Chirk, widowed and later married a Mr Turner."
