Hi Ann

Have you followed his wife Margaret and daughter Jemima through the censuses? Looks like they weren't together on censuses from 1871:

Margaret Pittrie 56, Crofter Of 5 Acres (arable) b. Fetteresso
Margaret Duncan   28, niece, Shoemaker's Wife, b. Fettereso
Jemima Duncan 6, Great Niece b. Maryculter

Address: Craig Of Newhall, Fetteresso

Can't see any more children born to them on IGI. Jemima's details:

JEMIMA PITHIE DUNCAN Birth: 06 NOV 1864 Maryculter, Kincardine

Hi Ann

So that people don't spend their time duplicating information already provided could I suggest that you include the links to the many topics over the last 12 months relating to your REID/DUNCAN family.

One thing I did notice is that Georges occupation on the birth certificate for their son and the death certificate of Jessie REID was Iron Works Labourer which doesn't seem to fit with this George DUNCAN

Hi Andy

Agree with both sets of comments: linking to old relevant posts and the fact that this George Duncan, who looks to have been a fisherman/shoemaker, doesn't seem a good fit for William Duncan's father, George, who seems to have worked in the iron works industry from what Ann has for him so far.

Here are links to previous threads on George Duncan and his family. We find it's not a good idea to have many threads which overlap and look for the same information on the same people as is causes much confusion and duplication for those trying to help (and also makes it harder for the poster to keep track of details that have been found for them).
