David Thomson Whatever happened to him???
« on: Sunday 13 February 11 20:10 GMT (UK) »
Hi All,
Posted this a while ago without any luck, but maybe with a reminder someone will find some info on him for me.
Born 14 sept 1879 in St.Nicholas, Aberdeen.
Mother Charlotte Wilson, father David Thomson.
Parents were not married but Charlotte called herself Mrs.Thomson.
Last known census was 1881 in Aberdeen St.Nicholas.
His father died in 1883 and David junior is not listed on the 1891 census
with his mother.

Any info would be greatly appreciated. Been searching for a couple of years now
trying to find out what happened to this child.

Cheers,
Maries163

Hi CaroleW,
I was just hoping against hope that someone with a fresh pair of eyes, or an
experienced member could maybe shed some light on what happened to this boy
or point me in another direction where i could maybe locate him as i've been
unable to find a death record and can only assume he was living somewhere when the 1891
census was taken.

Cheers,
Maries163

Hi Marie

Because you mentioned a previous post - I included the link to it to let anybody know that there were no replies on it that would affect this current post

Hope you have better luck this time

In 1881 they seem to be enumerated as THOMPSON - do I have the right family (father David aged 40 and mother Charlotte 34 plus baby David aged 1)?
Ayr: Barnes, Wylie
Caithness: MacGregor
Essex: Eldred (Pebmarsh)
Gloucs: Timbrell (Winchcomb)
Hants: Stares (Wickham)
Lincs: Maw, Jackson (Epworth, Belton)
London: Pierce
Suffolk: Markham (Framlingham)
Surrey: Gosling (Richmond)
Wilts: Matthews, Tarrant (Calne, Preshute)
Worcs: Milward (Redditch)
Yorks: Beaumont, Crook, Moore, Styring (Huddersfield); Middleton (Church Fenton); Exley, Gelder (High Hoyland); Barnes, Birchinall (Sheffield); Kenyon, Wood (Cumberworth/Denby Dale)

Hi avm228,
Yes, that's the right family but i think it's a mistake
on the census as David & his father both had the
surname Thomson, without a 'P'

Thanks,
Marie

Did young David have any middle names to assist in identifying him in later records?
