Cowen or Cowans emigrated to Nanaimo

Can any one help with information about James Nairn Cowans who emigrated 1911 and settled with his family in Nanaimo - Hannah and Jane ann were his daughters I would love to hear anything about the family They were from Cambois Northumberland England.

COWANS James Nairn of Nanimo (sic) Vancouver Island British Columbia died 3 September 1919 Probate London 12 October 1920 to Thomas Oliver COWANS miner and William NELSON Insurance Superintendent.  Effects 154 UKPounds 19 shillings and 1pence.

FreeBMD shows a James Nairn COWANS born 1860 Northumberland.... so...

Looks like that was his second marriage

COWANS Thomas Oliver marr either Ada BROWN or Elizabeth MAUGHAN 1908 Morpeth

Not seeing a death for an Ada so could well be Elizabeth was his first wife
