follow up of charles henry lamb - dob

Hi, recently I asked for help in finding birth details of above born in 1873 and supposedly in eastbourne,this has not resolved the details of his birth. One suggestion was that he was born in Tunbridge wells  Kent because  other parameters were right ( age, Fathers name william and proffession blacksmith ),however, more recent investigation (1881 census) has shown that the family lived in london - bromley st. leonard and that Charles was 8 and his father 56 and mother 45 , The location is interesting because after military service Charles married in 1904 (Caroline Thrower) at bromley st leonard .My main interest is with the age difference and any help/ suggestions  to  explain this would be much appreciated, could he have been born in eastbourne but registered in tunbridge ? thanks.

I believe that he married Caroline Thrower 14/6/1903 batchelor then 19/4/1908 Emily Cranwell St.Andrew Poplar widower.

William 25 on the 1851 census with his wife Grace 24 nee Dixon Plus Grace3 Isabella Jane 1 Mary Ann 3months

Believe Grace dies 1852 Durham by 1861 he seems to have married Elizabeth Gardner

Thanks Jenifer for speedy response, something re. Grace seems odd as thou' shes ten years younger than she should be in the later census?Also can you find a birth ref for Charles or  later census info for him or his family? This would help if its the same as the address given for his wedding to C.Thrower, thanks again,Elia
