Just finished watching it and have to say I really enjoyed it. Very different to many of the others. Won't say any more as don't want to spoil it for others :)

Good programme.     Like the June Brown one, just following one line.

Fancy finding TWO very similar soldiers with her Gr. grandfather's name she was searching for ... !

I thought this was an interesting programme, full of surprises.

Agree with all of you, interesting and quite different from what I had envisaged.  As midmum says, won't spoil for those who haven't seen it yet
Based on the June Brown episode together with this one, the series is off to a great start.
Certainly learning some interesting sidelights on world history anyway!

Really enjoyed it - was tearing up over Louis Volant and so pleased that the mystery was reconciled in a way that was satisfactory to all (being deliberately obtuse to avoid spoiling anything!)

I thought it was an excellent episode - full of surprises. Interesting to see all the documentation the researchers found.
