There are no birth certificates until the start of civil registration in 1864 so you'll need to know the family's religion and where they lived before starting to search for church record of his baptism.
Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!

PRONI has microfilmed copies of many church records- list can be found on their website www.proni.gov.uk or under ANTRIM RESOURCES-
http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php/topic,535464.0.html

this list is probably the most comprehensive-

Very few church records are available online although some pay per view and subscription sites do have various records.

I am also interested in the Hart family in Antrim specifically an Arthur Hart who married Mary Ann Palmer in Randalstown RC 1828 and had a Henry, Isabella, Jemima and Mary Ann 1830s -1840s.  My John Palmer married in the same church in 1833 so you see why I am interested.  My Palmers were from Antrim town too.  Any link to Barrs, Maddens, McGarrys or other families in Antrim any chance?
Palmer Website: www.davyboynorth.f2s.com/SamPalmer/00]SamPalmerStory.asp
Palmers, Barrs and McGarrys from Antrim/Ballyrobin/Muckamore/Crumlin
McAleaveys from Forkhill Co Armagh and then Whitewell/Glengormley
Traynors/Trainor from Larne then Whitewell/Glengormley also Glasgow

Hi - I am still researching - but so far I have not come across these surnames (Yet!)  The Irish family history is so complex, I had to take a break for a couple of months. Hope to get back into full flow after New Year.
The furtherest back I have got is to 1834 with the marriage of  Patrick Hart and Sarah Clark. I do not know any info about them. I know that the name Henry and Arthur, Mary and Anne are  names that are in my family history (Henry lived in Ireland - randalstown area) all his life.
What Country are you from
If I come across anything I will let you know

regards

Peter Hart
