Mr John F KEMPSON, 67 retired; Mrs Elizabeth L, 58 wife; Miss M F, 28 secretary and Miss R S, 20 domestic, departed Liverpool on 19 Oct 1921 on the SUEVIC, ticketed to Sydney.  They were cabin passengers.  Their last address in UK - The Cottage, Marcham, Great Yarmouth.  Their last country of permanent residence, England.  Country of intended permanent residence, Australia.

I am wondering what is your source of information that John emigrated to Australia in the 1880's.  He appears to have lived, married and had children in England.

Hi there,

May I suggest you send a PM to a fellow RChatter, Martin Harmer, who has quite a few threads regarding KEMPSON, but in the meanwhile, perhaps you may find lots of information to help you in these several threads:
http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php/topic,528623.0.html
http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php/topic,516159.0.html
http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php/topic,529148.0.html MENTIONS JOHN FLOWER KEMPSON several times
http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php/topic,529147.0.html

I hope that Martin's offline research will help you further, as many RChatters have helped Martin and I feel sure he would have obtained certificates and the like to validate the information posted on those threads.

Cheers,  JM

Looking for desendants of

John Flower Kempson Born abt 1854, died 1928, immigrated to Australia  late 1800's
His parents were William born 1805, and Elizabeth Flower

John Flower KEMPSON's date of birth is recorded as 26 June 1854 on his baptismal record.  His baptismal record shows
baptised 21 December 1891 at Ealing St Mary  (London, England), John Flower Kempson, Gentleman, of Leicester, parents named as William and Elizabeth.  The Vicar conducting this adult baptism was W E Oliver.

Most likely the birth registration would be referenced at GRO as Vol 7a page 177, in the July-Sept quarter of 1854, in the registration district of Leicester.

There is an Elizabeth FLOWER who was born 10 Nov 1816 to John and Frances FLOWER and baptised at Great Meeting Presbyterian, Leicester,  on 10 May 1819.

Hi Everyone
John Flower kempson moved to Sheringham in Norfolk in about 1908, from leicester. with the rest of his family. British telephone directories give his address as South Street, Sheringham. You may be able to locate them in the 1911 British Census.
