I wonder if anyone could help me. I know (from the 1911 census) that my GG-Grandparents had 7 children, of whom 4 died (I had previously only known that they had 4 and that one died, so this is a revelation for my research!)
Finding the remaining three poor children though is a bit difficult, as my GG-Grandfather was an army man and the family moved around quite a bit. I have found what I think *might* be one of their children in the Doncaster area, via Ancestry, but wonder if anyone could help me get a bit more information before I order a birth certificate, so I'm (hopefully) not disappointed. Here are the details I have:
Edith Gladys BRIMICOMBE
Born Jan/Feb/Mar 1893, Doncaster district (GRO 9c 792)
Died Jan/Feb/Mar 1893, Doncaster district (GRO 9c 445)
If Edith is one of the children I'm looking for, her parents should be William Heath Brimicombe, and Bertha Brimicombe (nee Parnell). They won't have stayed in the Doncaster area all that long, as one of their surviving children - Doris Ruth - was born in Gainsborough, Lincs in 1895. I know that they were in Islington, not Doncaster, at the time of the 1891 census also.
In case it sheds any light I *think* that the other two children who died are:
Daisy Ethel BRIMICOMBE b. & d. Oct/Nov/Dec 1891 Islington
Clara Eva B BRIMICOMBE b. Jan/Feb/Mar 1884 Totnes, Devon & d. Jan/Feb/Mar 1887 Windsor, Berks.
If anyone is able to offer any help or advice I would be very grateful.
