Hi everyone and Happy New Year.Some months ago some kind individuals on here put me in touch with a distant relative who opened up a new world for me,I found I had relatives that I never knew about and even joined a family web site.I'm after tracing my Grandmothers family now to see if there are anymore suprises.Her name was Mary Anne Devlin and she was born in Scotland I believe in 1892.She died in 1935 in Eccles Manchester.She was married to William Charles Theodore Farlow.If anyone has any details I would be most grateful.

http://www.freebmd.org.uk/ has a marriage indexed for a Charles Farlow and Mary Devlin in 1924 in Salford district. This would be a good match for where you reported her death to have occurred. Assuming this is the correct couple, ordering the certificate should give you the name and occupation of Mary's father to help find the family in the censuses. As you can see from an earlier post there is already more than one possibility, and the family may have moved to England so more possibilities may turn up there.

 W C T Farlow was born DEc qtr 1893 Wolverhampton 6b 532 and according to his pension papers on Ancestry, his parents were George and Sarah Ann Farlow of ZOar St, Wolverhampton.  Brothers George Henry Farlow and Samuel Farlow

Is it definite that Mary married WCT Farlow?  Only on the marriage index, William C T Farlow marries twice, once to Alice Cummings (1916) and the other to Gertrude Davies (1936).

A quick google search brings up some interesting results - namely that the marriage between Mary Devlin and WCTF took place in Scotland in 1917, bigamously due to WCTF previous marriage to Alice Cummings.  Not sure whether the owner of the website is on RC, I think he is from what he has written http://www.myheritage.com/FP/newsItem.php?s=51869861&newsID=32&sourceList=home
