Can anyone help? - Sarah Ann Riley / James A Parsons / Jane Fearn

Hi All,

I may be asking the impossible here, but I'm going to give it a try anyway...

My Great Grandmother Sarah Ann Riley [nee Fearn] 1887 - 1947 was Yorkshire born and following her marriage (to William Riley 1886 - circa 1930) lived in Sunderland, Co. Durham. Her first husband died in his early 40's...(they had my Grandmother Margaret in 1908.
 
She went on to marry James A Parsons in 1943. They lived in High Wycombe. I also know that Sarah Ann's sister Jane Fearn was in High Wycombe, I don't know if Jane ever married, or why she was in High Wycombe.

I'd like to try and find out what brought Sarah Ann to High Wycombe and when? and who James A Parsons was? If anything can be uncovered on Jane I'd appreciate knowing that too.

As I type it seems an impossible request, but I know you wonderful people manage near miracles on this site, so thought I'd try my luck.

Any information or pointers will be gratefully received.

Do you know what James middle name was? I see the marriage in 1943 and there is a birth in 1874 of James Albert Parsons
Wycombe volume 3a page 506

The marriage certificate should provide James middle name.

Is Jane Fearn the one age 13 in 1901 census:
and
Sarah Ann age 14
both born in Rogston, Yorkshire and living in Sunderland ?

looks like Sarah moved to Sunderland prior to her marriage.

Hi Morganllan,

Thank you for the above information... I think I'll have to send off for the Marriage cert for Sarah Ann and James Parsons...this will then give me a starting point for tracing where James started life and how Sarah ended up in High Wycombe...

The info on Jane is interesting... I was unable to find a possible marriage - So thank you...
