1841 London, 1851, 1861 1871 1881 Liverpool census - Lewis

Seeking  information
regarding

David Lewis (Levy)  born 1823 London
Married wife: Berth Cohen on Sept 6th 1856

In 1841 David would have been living in London, not sure if he went under the Levy or Lewis name.  David had a brother, would be interested to find out his name.

In 1851 he would have been living in Liverpool
In 1861 he would have been married and living in Liverpool
In 1871 he would have been married and living in Liverpool
In 1881 He would have been married and living in Liverpool

he died Aged 62 on the 4th Dec 1885 in Liverpool.


any information would be greatly appreciated from someone so far...

yes I do have a fathers name it is: Wolfe Levy a Jewish Merchant.

It's strange that Berthas Dad is named Raphael, I have him as Rabbi Isaac Cohen, maybe he changed his name too.

I guess I'll have to get onto the New South Wales census for the brothers name.

I dont think so, as his brother sailed to Australia in the 1840's, but it does look like his sons came back to work for David, doesn't it.
