Hello Caroline,
welcome to rootschat.
Although you seem to be asking for current Corcorans in Cloonfad, you need to be more specific with your enquiry re dates.
The Irish censuses for 1901 and 1911 are free to view at http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/
and there are a couple of Thady Corcorans there but no Margaret.
If these are later than your folk, they may be related.

best wishes
heywood

Hi Thanks
meant to say Thady was born about 1905 and I think I have found him on 1911 census living in Buckhill, Cloonfad and Margaret living in Roscommon. I am interested in tracing living decendents, I know they had several children who would now be in their seventies. Two of the children Catherine and Teresa went to the UK in the mid 1950's, Teresa I think married a Peter Whelan and went back to Ireland in the 1990's buying a farm near Longford I think. Thanks anyway

Steve's suggestions are good ones. Rootschat isn't a forum for tracing living relatives and we aren't allowed to post details of anyone who might be living. If anyone reading this thread does have recent family information for you they will have to contact you by PM (personal message)- both parties need 2/3 posts to do so.
Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!

Hi Caroline, I just came across your message there by chance.
Those Corcoran may be from the miller Corcorans. There were 7 brothers at Kilshanvey Mills, Kilconly near Tuam and they were put off the land on the death of their father mid 1820's. From there they built mills at Adeergoole, Drumbane and Cloonfad.
i have some more details on that line if you want to get in touch
Regards Midie Corcoran Tuam,
