My GG Grandmother was Margaret Orr who was born in County Antrim probably between 1815 and 1826 (note one census indicated a birth date of December 7, 1825, but the year varied for other census and documents). She married my GG Grandfather John McMullan, who was shown as a shoemaker on his Son's birth record. I'm unsure of John's age, and would guess he was born anywhere from 1815 to 1830. I suspect he was younger, as it was said they met at a college in Belfast where he was a student and Margaret was a maid.
Margaret's parents were David Orr and a Catherine (maiden name unknown?). I don't know who John's parents were or where he was born.
Margaret & John had a Son, Arthur in Downpatrick in 1845, and they married in 1845 at St Margaret's in Downpatrick. They immigrated to Quebec between 1845 and 1847.
My most pressing interest is to find information about them in Ireland, including births, and parentage.
