Devon / Re: Caroline Dinham Chard 1800

Many thanks guys for your quick responces. I had seen Caroline to John/Sarah and normally I would have gone for that, everything fits etc. Its just finding the Demham part [ancestry shows James baptism as Demham not December, it would be interesting to see the original] just puts doubt in my mind, too much of a coincidence for me. Guess I need to find her marriage.
Once again thanks and keep up the good work.

Devon / Caroline Dinham Chard 1800
« on: Friday 27 January 12 22:00 GMT (UK)  »
Trying to find the parents and christening for Caroline.
All I know of her is, she married a James Flower from Devizes, Wiltshire.
On the census returns she gives her place of birth as Honiton.
All census returns show a residence in Bedminster, Somerset
On a sons birth cert her maiden name is given as Dinhamchard.
I can find a James Denham Chard born in Dalwood,1801 son of Henry and Elizabeth
Any help please.

Midlothian / Michael Cammell at the Royal Dick

My 3X Gr/Grandfather was a vet, he claimed on one census return he attended Edinburgh University but I can find no history of him been there. He was born in 1807 and when he married in Hull, Yorkshire [his home town] in 1836 he was practising. The Royal college of Vets have no record and Edinburgh Uni say the Royal Dick was separate to the Uni and they have no records that far back. I cannot find any newspaper cuttings of his graduation but the on line archives do not cover the full publications. Any help please?

Hi Colina
i have just stumbled across this thread after reading about an auction which took place at Aldby Field farm.
The auction took place under instruction of William Sunman on the 24/03/1863. William was my Great Grandfathers elder brother, their father was also a farmer who died in 1841 in Sand Hutton. Can you help me any further.
Regards Dave
