Hi All
Has anybody got any information or ideas abot an explosives factory that was situated at the top of Nelson Street on the land which is now the Peveril estate. I think it was going around 1900s as my great aunt worked there.

Suffolk / William Moore born c 1760

Hi all
I am trying to find information on my 5 x Great Grandfather William Moore who was born c1760 he as far as I know married Mary Elsden on 18th October 1780 at Walsham le Willows in Suffolk.
I believe they had 3 children
William born 1782 in Combs ( my 4 x GGF )
John Thomas born 1790 in Combs
Mary born in 1797 in Combs
Any info would be much appreciated to get me on the move again.   Harry

Yes Nelson Street is part of Whiitington Moor or it was when i was a kid in the 1950s unless its changed now as I now live in Greater London

Many thanks for the info I will look into it but when i was a kid in the late 1950s my best mate lived at 28 Stand Road but he wasnt a Slinn.....what a coincidence     Thanks Harry

Hi all
My brother was born in 1946 on Whittington Moor in Chesterfield and when i recently asked him where he was born he told me in a maternity home on Nelson Street where we lived but I can find no trace of it. Any help would be much appreciated.
