Hi Mary A, thank you.. lots of info to study and hopefully make a family from. i have tried to upload cert but to scan onto my laptop i had to do it in 2 parts (can you tell im not to good at this) so hope it has come through ok.. i was beging to wonder if Emma was illigitimate and that was why i couldnt find her? on marriage cert and on her daughters birth cert she signed with a cross so she couldnt write.  i do have a birth cert for a Emma Salt born 4 SEPT 1856 friars Alley, All Saints.father THOMAS Salt, mother Ann Salt formerly Bradley, occ coal heaver, this is what they sent when i applied for birth cert for Emma born that year? confusing!!!! best wishes Irene have taken cert of as suggested but do not know how to put just occupation on here..

Hi MaryA..and garstonite..
thank you for replying..yes this is census i found   and on marriage cert Emmas father is named as Henry Salt but his occupation is not very clear i can see it is not miller. the witnesses are William Haggarth and Mary Annis Morton.. on the cert Emma is 20 and married 1876.. i saw the entry for Thomas and Ann as parents but it is Henry on marriage cert. thank you for your time and help best wishes Irene  ???
