Hi All,

Thanks for the info.

I also have the transcript of the Bolney Parish records and still have not solved the puzzle.

Been stuck with this one for ever since I started tracing the Heasmans.

Hi Silligen,

Thanks for your info.  The birth date for Henry Heasman 1761 comes from the IGI database.  It also shows his wife as being Elizabeth.  The children are well documented, but I have never found out who his father was, or the maiden name of his wife.  Other contacts have taken the Henry Heasman who married Elizabeth Collins in Worth to be the link, but I have yet to be convinced.  I have assumed from the names of two his children Bernard and John that his father may have been Bernard Heasman 1726 Bolney and his grandfather would therefore have been John Heasman 1689 Bolney.  I have yet to prove this however.

Hi Omega,

Thanks for the try, but my Henry was born c 1761 so 1769 is a bit too early for him.

Hi Jann,
There are two Henry Heasmans born c. 1760 in the records both married to an Elizabeth.  The two lines often get mixed together one is traceable the other is not.  I think mine is the untraceable line.  I am unable to verify the father of Henry Heasman b 1761 Bolney, who married an Elizabeth also born in Bolney.  I have never found a marriage record either.
I am a Heasman via Henry Heasman 1809, son of Henry Heasman 1761, married to Harriet Francis.
Looking back at your query I think your Henry Heasman maybe an altogether different line to mine.

Hi All,

I am a descendant of Henry and Elizabeth Heasman (probable marriage in 1769).

Their known children, baptized in Barcombe, were:  Ann (1771), Henry (1773), John (1775), Sarah (1779) John (1780), Jane (1782, my ancestor, aka Hannah Jane), Phillis (1785).

If any of you are connected to any of them, I'd appreciate hearing from you.

Jann
Hi Jann,I am also related to this branch of the Heasmans, but unable to overcome sorting out Henry 1761.  This is a common problem and to by knowledge has not been resolved by any of my previous contacts.
