World War Two / Re: Any one Identify these RAF Personell?

Hi Graham

Just started to research my fathers service history after receiving a copy of his records in the post and came across your photo. The guy seated with glasses (2nd from left) could be my father or either of my uncles.

my father, LAC Ronald Welch, had a twin brother and i beleive they were both in the RAF. as was, i beleive, their older brother. Certainly my father was based in Blackpool for a while, but i am unsure of my uncles service history. I've found an old photo of my father taken in 1946 and he is the spitting image of the person in your photo. However, as far i can tell he was in Blackpool earlier 1940-41 - i will try and get information from the family on his brothers

Regards

Pat

Many thanks

This information is already starting to make sense of what was looking a bit like a jigsaw puzzle of information. I may well have more questions as i go through his records

thanks again

World War Two / WW2 service records
« on: Saturday 31 July 10 15:10 BST (UK)  »
I've just received in the post today a copy of my late fathers service records in RAF durring WW2. He didn't talk much about the war, all i know is he was in RADAR.

I can decipher most of the records but am having trouble with some of the units were he was posted to:-

e.g it refers to 3127.S.E or 6320.S.E

Does anyone know what this refers to or where i could find out

many thanks
