Hi Sue Story, having read that your grandmother was Elizabeth Greta Jubilee Jeffries, I thought I'd ask if you know the date of birth for William Jeffries, who married Elizabeth Briggs. I know they married on 4/12/1821, in Paddington, London, but that is all I have. I would also like to know the date of birth for Elizabeth Briggs. My connection to the Jeffries family is through the Sykes family, my grandmother was Clara Sykes. She married John William Castle. Her father was Thomas Clifford Sykes, her mother was Elizabeth Duck. Kind regards Yorkie2

Thanks The Yokel, this situation has not come up before for me. Normally, I've found a parent on a marriage certificate. I thought it would be easy with a name like Elizabeth Castle Ward, but I suppose there's always one bump in the road in a family. Thanks again

Dear emeltom, thank you. I have seen plenty of Elizabeth wards, but only the one Elizabeth Castle Ward. Castle is an unusual second first name for anybody. Although John Langley her husband and her did name their son George Castle Langley, and he named his son Castle Langley ! I shall now go looking for Elizabeth Ward, the mother, and hopefully the husband and father. Cheers again.

She was born in 1793, Terrington St Clement, she died/burial 10th March 1854, in Terrington St Clement. Any help would be much appreciated. Kind regards Stuart Castle

Thanks for that, all this dying and remarrying ! Haha. I now have to find when/where John Breeze died. When/where he was married to Mary Ashman, and if they had any other children apart from William Breeze. Thank you again for your help

Hi Trish, thanks for that. I know at the time, they would spend part of the year farming, then when things were slow on the farm, they would be in the building trade. It looks like I was following the wrong William Breeze ! So William's parents were John Breeze, and Mary Breeze(nee Barrett)
Who then is Henry ? I get so confused, sorry. Once again thanks for the help.

Hi Annette, thank you for the information. I do not have the Marriage certificate for William Breeze, I found the marriage date on either Ancestry, Findmypast, or familysearch. It gave grooms father as John Breeze, and brides father as John Langley. I found a cousin of mine has done his side of the tree, he gives William's father as William Breeze, and mother as Sara Brand ? I tried looking this up, but only one that I could see that matched was from Ireland and had people in the States ? It doesn't help when there are so many of the same name, and all in the same area ! Thanks again Yorkie2
