Hello,
It is a bit of a leap and is it too much of a coincidence that I have a Kate (Catherine) i my Perritt/Pirrett Tree
Catherine Maria Dwyer
1860–1929, BIRTH 31/08/1860 • CANNING TOWN, LONDON, England
DEATH JUL-AUG-SEP 1929 • West Ham, Essex, England

She was the sister of my great grandmother who's parents were Andrew Dryer and Susan Crocker

Stranger things have happened

Hi Eppingjewish,
In reading all the chats i don't think your Harriet is directly related to my Ephriam though there could be a link further back.
Ephraim's parents were James Harvey and Susannah Lucas. James Harvey Died in November 1841 at about 39, after the death of James she remarried to Thomas Aldous in 1848.Considering her age at this marriage would be almost 50 I don't think there were any children. Susannah died 7 July 1874.
Ephriam did have a sister 'Hariot' but she was born20 Dec 1838.
James and Susannah are so far missing from the 1841 census which was conducted in June of that year.
James Parents were William Harvey and (probably)  Judith Musk, married 14 March 1802. Their children were James, Charity, Edward, Susan Letice, Nathan and William.
We think that William parents were Samuel Harvey and Margaret Pettit who married in Rishangles 6 April 1772.
As to the Jewish connection, it is still unproven, though the feeling is that there is Romany/Jewish ancestry in there somewhere. My DNA states European Jewish < 1%.

to Eppingjewish   nicky,
I'll look into the Jewish connection. It is ages since I accessed my own info about him.
You say you are a descendant of a Harriet Harvey,do you know who her parents or siblings were?

to  amondg, I did not not know about the baptisms you mentioned. Where did you find the information? Are you descended from any of them?

Looking forward to reading your replies

Jeanette

Thanks Annette,
That certainly is very useful information.
I am constantly amazed at the very helpful folks who are a part of the online genealogy community. I hope that one day I can play it forward and repay the favour.

 :)
Thanks  Keziah2
That is very helpful.
Yes,  the Suffolk Burial Index is a SFH publication & is transcribed from the PRs.
I will have to look at the non-conformists in the area.
Not something I have done yet. Will have to do my homework about what is available.
Many thanks again.

Regards

 :)Thanks for your answers everyone
I am descended from Charity's brother James. Another famiy researcher and I have been looking for their parents for a very long time.
James does not appear on the 1841 census, though he did not die until November that year.

Annette7, Yes Charity Harvey married Robert Allum. Charity is named on her brother James death certificate as being the one who notified his death, rather than his wife Susan ( formerly Lucas) who remarried Thoma Aldous later.
The details of Charity's birth have come from a memeber of the SFH group who looked at the parish register who also gave me this marriage. 14 Mar 1802 William Harvey of Wilby & Judith Musk

Keziah2, The birth years for these two
Lettice HARVEY born 3 Jun 1819
Susan HARVEY born 6 Apr 1817
Are a long time after the marrieage date that I have, which is also from SFH.
If Judith was about 20 (my guess) at her wedding that potentially makes Judith almsot 40 by the time Lettuce was born.
