Census Lookup and Resource Requests / Birmingham trade directory 1911
« on: Friday 09 March 18 17:23 GMT (UK)  »
Hi - is anyone able to either look up, or direct me to an online directory where I can look up, a dairy at 69 Long St, Bham in 1911?  It should be owned by Arthur George Osborne.  My husband's stepmother's father worked there, and interestingly I found his 2 brother in laws to be on the census there too, one being the brother in law of Arthur, and one being a visitor.  I'd like to be able to find a photo if possible. Thank you

Didn't know the maps worked like that, thank you.  I've found where my people used to live, and it's only a 13 min walk from where I used to live, and my parents still do!

Hi Stan - thanks for the link.  I'm having trouble finding it, can you give me a clue to whereabouts to look, please?

I have ancestors in Bank St Crewe (no. 19) in 1911.  I've lived in Crewe and still have family there, but we don't know of Bank St - can anyone tell me where it was, as it doesn't seem to be in existence any more.  Thank you
