Hi Shane, I have searched the irish church records sites and only three of his childrens baptisms were recorded, sponsers there were no Mccarthys, they had 5 children Ellie Julia not on the site and Denis Mary And John who are, I think It is a losing battle to try and find out his dob and Parents, I know he died before 1901 as he was not on the census however have no idea now how to find the details I need to go back further, Regards Lorraine

Hi, I am trying to locate the dob and parents of John McCarthy, born Aglish, he married Julia Prendiville, John Died B4 1901 but I cannot find his birth or parents, Any help would be appreciated.
They moved to Gerah, Farranfore, Molahiffe where they had 5 children, one was my gt grandfather John Mc Carthy who married a Catherine Leary, John and Catherine were my Grandfathers parents, he was called Patrick and he married my Grandmother Joan Murphy

Hi Annie, I am new to roots chat and cannot seem to reply to your message, my grandfather James Harkin married a Sarah Doherty they lived in Altashane, Clonmany, James Father was patrick who married a Margaret Davenport, Patricks Father was James who married Bridget Quiqley.
