I have just been working on my gggGrandmother. Her name was Bridget Bolger, born 24 June 1831 in Kilkenny, Ireland. I'm afraid I don't have her parents names. However, I just found out yesterday that she and her husband John Burke were married in St. Canice's Catholic Church in Kilkenny. This information was in their parish records. You might start there to see if you can locate Ellen's baptismal record. Considering the proximity in birth dates of your Ellen and my Bridget, I wonder if they were sisters.
