Hi
Can anyone help me find out about the Knott family from Farnborough/surrounding areas?
Stephen George Knott, born 1869 (blacksmith) married Louise Parr, born 1869, and they were living at Beechnut Road, Aldershot in 1911.
Their children were, Elsie Annie Knott, born 12 November 1892; Stephen Knott, born 1898; Lilly Knott, born 1900; Evelyn Knott, born 1903; Norah Knott, born 1904 and Edwin Knott born 1910.
Elsie Annie Knott had a daughter, Phyllis Irene Knott, born 20 April 1914. Phyllis married Frank Ryan (born 18 November 1912, Durham) on 25 January 1936 in Aldershot. Frank was at that time a sergeant with the Durham Light Infantry, rising to captain and eventually Major (QM), and Phyllis was a nursery governess. Frank was at the Dettingen Barracks, Blackdown and Phyllis resided at Chingford Avenue, Farnborough.
The couple had a child, whom they gave up for adoption. I know what happened to the child and I am not looking for information on that point.
However, I am trying to find out what happened to Phyllis and Frank, particularly if there were more children. I am aware this is relatively recent and I would understand if some of this information might be better sent by personal message to avoid mentioning living people.
Thank you.
Hazel
