Thanks for the links!
It is definately the draft card and I'll have to look more closely at the manhattan directories.
Where/how did you find the directories?
I'm so much closer to finding the tax photo now.
Thank you all so much :)

It is John (b. 5/1895)  & Catherine (b. 12/1902) (not Mary) McMahon! John's parents were John & Mary.   :-[
The daughter Mary was born Dec 1920 and Catherine was born Oct 1922.
John McMahon was one of 9 living children who died in Apr 1965.
I attached the 1930 census where I found them.

Thanks, Roberta

They always lived in NYC. John & Mary had 2 daughters-Mary and (K?)Catherine.
Mary had her wedding reception at their restaurant.
Thanks Maureen but it's not them.

United States of America / 1940 US Federal Census

I'm researching my husbands Irish family. Everyone is John & Mary McMahon! While I have had success in finding them in 1915, 1920, 1930 census', I cannot find them in the 1940 census.
Does anyone have any tips for me? If I can find them in this census, I'll be able to get a tax photo of the property which will show the restaurant name he was the owner of.
Tips...tricks...help?
Thanks, Roberta
