I suspect the box on the running board is in fact a tool box. Kitted up with whatever was necessary to keep the vehicle running whilst (did I really just say that, lol) on the road.

Hi Ann,

My apologies for not replying sooner.

My connection to the Pedley family is through the marriage of Catherine Ives and John Pedley. Catherine's father was brother to Thomas Ives of Brampton, Hunts whose grand-daughter Maria Ives married my great grandfather Arthur Edward Abbott. They moved to Canada in 1906.
Sadly, I don't know much about the Pedley family.
