The baby would be Registered in your Nan's Birth Name
If you provide us with a Year and your Nan's Birth Name
Any idea of the Christian Name of the Daughter?

Agreed your Logic Jim1 - no Ada mentioned if it was Oliver Cromwell Oliver per my theory.
Agreed Photo may include the Father David D of Thomas Henry and Hilda as you suggest he may have Enlisted in WW1 into RE even though he was over 40 but he might not have gone Overseas Hence no Medal Card - there are some Soldiers in the Photo looking 50ish with no Medals Ribbons in the Mid 1920s
Apparently he left the Family in 1928 and went to Australia

What Pension can't you find ?
Do you mean Dependents Pension Card to his Father ?
That would only exist if he lived at Home at time of Enlistment and contributed to the Household
If he had left Home - then his Father would only be due his Army Pay Arrears (Soldiers Effects) and War Gratuity
It would appear he left Home pre Enlistment- hence no Fold 3 Card

The Family have provided information about the Photo
The rear says To Hilda from Dad
They wrongly thought Dad was Daviid Drummond Oliver the Father of Hilda and Thomas Henry  but he would have been over 50 in the 1920s so not him nor Thomas's Sister Hilda
But as a Researcher I have found people are sent Photos of other Cousins to keep and the Fad in that period to  ame Children after other Cousins
Looked for a Birth GRO ref for a Hilda Oliver
Found one in March Quarter 1921 in West Derby Liverpool Mother's Maiden Name = West
Found a Marriage in West Derby June  Quarter 1917 of a Oliver C Oliver to an Emily West
I then looked for a Medal Card for an Oliver Oliver and found one in the Royal Engineers

The Photo was in the Belongings of Thomas Henry Oliver born Sep 1896  and the Family assumed the Officer was him in WW1 but I have Researched and found he was only Commissioned in February 1918 into the Manchester Regt so clearly it is not a WW1 photo and Regt Unknown  - so likely Summer Camp and may not be him in the Photo anyway.
Would he on Reserve gone to Summer Camps in 1920s ?
His Marriage on 17 July 1920 in Everton he was an Insurance Clerk
Also he went Overseas 17 October 1914 with RAMC does that mean he Enlisted pre War or didn't need training if Enlisted August 1914?
