G'day Lynne,
I have just started working on the Orde/Errington families of the High Quarter in Hexhamshire and it looks like I have some complementary information. Contact me by PM and we can collaborate.

Jackie,
Good to see that you are still working away at the Gullivers; I was going to send you an update when I had got the Gilbersons pinned down but you seem to be ahead of me.
I have got back as far as Matthew/Mattias born about 1740 but am still filling detail; what have you got? I have also been to Tudhoe cemetery and picked up some of the MIs. Suggest that we swap files by e-mail. I am still at terry_fox@y7mail.com
Best wishes,
Terry

Janis,
Many thanks; I will nit-pick my way forward! I have picked more children of George Smith and Magdaline Pattison in Trimdon in IGI.

Janis,
I have just looked up IGI. There was a Richard Gilberson bapt. 30 Jun 1765 at Sessay near Easingwold, which includes Hutton Sessay. Could this be 'Hutton Mary Geese'?

Janis,
Many thanks, I am moving forward slowly, as you can see from this message string. From your response, I assume that you may have the Trimdon BMD. Do you have them all, including RC?

Adam,
Sorry I have taken so long to respond but I have been out of circulation and have changed my ISP and e-mail address as well, thus I wasn't alerted to your message.
I think that you have found the right events, particularly because I had tentatively had James Gulliver married to Elizabeth Gilberson. IGI has Elizabeth Gilbertson b. 29 Mar 1801 and bapt. 30 Mar 1801 at Trimdon, which is the right sort of area. She was the daughter of Richard Gilbertson and Magdalen Smith. Madglen Smith Gilberson remarried Peter Barrow on 12 Sep 1824 at Manchester Cathedral. You quote the sponsors of James Gulliver as Peter and Magdalen Patten. It looks much like a misprint, doesn't it? Is there any chance of a double-check please, pretty please?
Best wishes,
Terry

Jackie,
Sorry I haven't replied earlier but we have been away. I had picked up Ellen in 1861 and have some more detail on the Gulliver clan with all its variant spelling. Suggest we swap details - please contact.

Durham Lookup Requests / Re: GRAHAMS - TUDHOE
« on: Wednesday 15 November 06 13:14 GMT (UK)  »
Gina,
I'm trying to find anything that was recorded in BMD for the Graham family in Tudhoe for a period of 60+ years. The father was Francis and there are two infant Francis buried, so it looks like he tried (and failed) to perpetuate his name. Francis (the father) probably died 1890.
