Hi, I have just come across these old posts about Doris Frances Sansom, so wondered what John's interest in her and her family was. Doris was my Godmother, as she and my Mum (Florrie Sansom) were first cousins, so I was quite close to her. They were from the Sansom family of Brentford, and you all seem to have the information correct. I remember her father as being "Uncle Ben", and his elder brother, "Charlie" (1878-1956) married Frances Crofts older sister, Emily. Strangely, Doris and her brother Charlie's mother (no other children) was known as "Flo". I was given quite a lot of photos of Doris's stage appearances, if anyone would like some. She worked frequently in panto as Principal Boy, for Emile Littler, being what they used to call "semi-professional", as she was also a telephone supervisor for J Lyons, at Cadby Hall. She had a lovely soprano voice. Sue
