There is a Joseph Henry Higgs on the Areley Kings Roll of Honour, so he would have died in action in the great war 1914-1918.

Worcestershire / Re: Blue Ball, Worcestershire

Some of my ancestors lived at Blue Ball, which is in Caunsall which is part of Cookley and previous to 1849 it came under the parish of Wolverley.
The building still stands today and I have photos if required.
If I can be of assistance in any way then please let me know.

Worcestershire Lookup Requests / Re: Census and Marriage - Stringer
« on: Sunday 22 September 19 11:08 BST (UK)  »
Are you sure about Henry's birth, there are 2 Henry Stringer born in Stourport 1784 and 1788. As the Stringer's from Stourport area feature in my tree I do have quite a lot of info on them.
I visit the record centre most weeks and can check original marraige record for you if no-one else has already done so.

I have a letter written by Eleanor in it's original envelope from China, it is addressed to my Aunt and was a couple of years before she was murdered, Eleanor was my Aunt's sunday school teacher and they became good friends.
This was left in my Aunt's possessions, I also have some copies of photographs of Eleanor but sadly not the originals.
I along with my Aunt was born in Cookley.

Dave
