Maybe an error on earlier post.
Esther Connah born circa 1850 married my great uncle John Chilton of Saltney Ferry.
Their recorded children were Walter, Harry, Herbert,Irene, Rebecca, Ett?, Mary and May.
Would appreciate any information about Esther Connah and her ancestors.

Hi Trish.
Thanks for the reply. I will see how it fits and perhaps continue the thread with you.
You look delighted with the baby. We had our fifth grandchild three weeks ago.

Wiltshire / Stones of Winterslow 1500-1750

Hi Wiltshire experts.
To date info and research about the Stone Family of Rickmansworth, Hertfordshire take me back to Jonathan Stone (1767-1817) married Hannah Gladman(1767-1849).
A tenuous thread indicates that his father, JOSEPH STONE (born 1745) married a Martha Baille in Winterslow.
Prior to that JOHN STONE (1705-1766) married Mary Judd in 1736 in Winterslow.
Would anyone be able to confirm if I am on the right tracks of descendants based on the location change.
Jonathan Stone was my4x GF.
MANY THANKS

Hi Connah Family Researchers
This info might be of interest.
My Grand Uncle John Chilton of Saltney Ferry appears to have married Esther Connah in late 1890s.
She was born in Hawarden 1877 and died in Cheshire in 1965.
John and Esther had two children - Alice R Chilton born c. 1898 and Mary Chilton born c. 1900 , both in Hawarden.
Esther Connah lived in Bretton nearby in 1881 with her parents Benjamin and Rebecca Conman born c. 1850.
Esther' s siblings were John born 1881
                                 Thomas born 1882
                                 Hannah born 1885
                                 Benjamin
In 1901 Esther as a widow living with Hannah in Bretton, , 2 miles from Hawarden.

Hi Jo
Another piece of the jigsaw, thank you.The Rowlands family appear to have moved around a lot in North Wales and Merseyside. Railways are in the family blood and I still have a similar passion. I can sit reading a European rail timetable for hours (sad!).
Any further information is much appreciated.Do you live in the area?
Regards
Paul
