Can you help me?.  I am looking for my Grandads death regsitered new years eve 1978 or 1979.  I have been looking under 1837 census and used up all  my credits before I got to this year.

His name was regsitered as Frederick william Shuler,  schuler or shoulder as at the time of his death,  my Nana couldn't remeber whether he had offcicially changed his name from shuler/schuler to shoulder or not!.

I am also looking for his Dad, John Shuler but cannot find him on the 1901,  1891 census.  My grandada was born in September 1904 but I need to request his birth certificate.  He lived on 40 Mersey street London W10 according to his wedding certificate .

any offers out there to have alook for me .  I would be very grateful.

Can anyone help me with this.  I am interested in my paternal grandmothers and grandfathers wedding.
It happened Apr/may/June 1925 Kensington
between Minnie A. Nagle and Frederick W.  Shuler.   I need a date of birth for my granddad Fred and mothers and fathers name.  I think Fred's father was call ed Jack but have been unable to track him on the 1901 census.
I tried to track my grandads death and the spelling is wrong showing Shohler in 1981 and giving a DOB of 07 Jan 1907 which is also believed to be wrong.  I think it is Sept 1909  but have nothing concrete to tie them up.  So I am resorting to the marriage cert to see what that brings.

many thanks if you can help me with this one,
kind regards Tracy

wow,  what a response,  never expected this and so quickly.  The Frederick Shuler born in Fulham is very likely to be himm as I have since spoken to my aunt again to get a better feel and she says it was his brithdayin September and he was younger than my nana hence no mention on the 1901 censues,  thanks very much everyone.  I will go on from here.

Hi there,  I am totally new to this site but have recently been trying to solve a family mystery.  Armed with the sketchy memory of my 80 yr old aunt, I have finally got somewhere on 1837 re: my fathers family.  However I am not sure where to go from here as I have not been able to progress any further.

I need to find out more about my grandfather as up until the point of his death we thought he was named Shoulder.  He had 9 children all named Shoulder!.   from my grandmothers maiden name I have managed to track him down.
My grandmother was Minnie Nagle who married Frederick W Shuler between Apr/may/jun 1925 in Kensington (1 a 376).  they had a child who they named Agnes M Shoulder in Oct/Nov/Dec 1925.  So in 1925 they decided to change their name.  I think my grandfather died in 1981 but I have not been able to track down his death  (there is a Frederick W Shohler which could have been how they registered his death as no-one really knew what he was called.  This gives a birth date of Jan 1907 but when I go back there is no birth registered.
My Nana died in Oct/Nov/Dec 1983. so I cannot ask her and no-one seems to remember grandads birthday.
Mu aunt Agnes seems to think  Frederick father was called Jack but I cannot find him on the 1901 census either.     all a bit confusing.

My next thoughts are to get their marriage certificate to get a date of birth any other ideas.

cheers,  look forward to hearing from anyone.  ;D
