I have a question about a George Padget who married a Margaret (Harland?) in about 1840 in South Cave and then left ending up in Iowa USA in about 1850-1860 is this one of your Padgets?

I am looking for a birth of George Padget in or around South Cave in 1816 + or - 2 years He later marries Margaret Harland no parents listed and has children in this area. All the information I have says he was born in 1816 if this is listed in the wrong Yorkshire area please let me know Thanks

For give my ignorance, but I am not sure this is the right George in South Cave he is listed in a marrage with the name spelled Padget and every other record I can find spells it this way. How far away is Beverley from South Cave? In the marriage record his father is not listed as well so that part may be correct Hester is not a name that reoccurs in the family however George and Margaret are repeated George's first born son is named Henry which may indicate his Fathers name his second son's first son is named George like his grand father. Thank you for the information do you have any suggestions for me.

I am trying to track down a George Padget who I believe was born around South Cave in 1816. He later marries a Margaret and leaves for Canada and then Iowa in the US. Is it possible someone to take a look for me or tell me how to find him. It may seem strange but one of his son's I believe lived in the same county in Iowa but never gave any indication that his Father was near.

Actually, I am looking for a George and Ann (Scobey) Garton who I believe are related to Joseph and Sarah Garton but I have a little more info on Joseph and Sarah Garton. I thought that by finding were they are from I may be able to track down George and Ann. George would be born about 1826 + or - 4 years they married in Michigan in 1849 both of them came from England. I do not know this to be a fact but i think George and Joseph may be brothers.

The document is part of a county history (Black Hawk  County Iowa USA) of early citizens. It talks about local citizens I do not know the date it was Published but talks about a Local man and lists his parents Sarah being one of them. If you would like more information let me know and i will get it to you. Thanks
