Well it's not impossible considering Rachel died in 1797🤔

Thank you, I appreciate your time and knowledge, it's one of those parts of my tree that I keep returning to, ever hopeful!

Thank you for replying. Sadly William Turner died before census, though he was from Rayne but most seem to have been born around Bardfield Saling and not really into baptising! They had 4 children as far as I can tell, John, James, Sarah, Thomas - Thomas is my line and he married at 42. All seem to be agricultural labourers.

Were the Aylets non-conformists? There seem to be be fewer baptism records than others.

hi @ruthaylett
I'm intrigued that you have collected a list of Aylett and was wondering if you might be able to help as I have a couple of troublesome ones!!! Hoping it's ok to add to this post!

1. Sarah Aylett m. William Turner at Bardfield Saling 1797 (my current theory is that she could be the b/b Sarah bap at Panfield 1770 to Sarah Aylet - but I'm intrigued that John Aylett is a witness at her marriage.

2. Rachel poss Aylett m. c.1779 Charles Deeks and has chn in Hawkwell from 1781-1797

thank you!

Essex / Re: Beckwith family from Braintree.
« on: Saturday 18 December 21 16:02 GMT (UK)  »
Hi bit late to this, but I'm looking at several branches of Beckwith around the Braintree area - Coggeshall/Kelvedon/Braxted - Halstead - Braintree/Bocking.

Jonah of 1781 is on one of them - his first marriage was in 1806 Braintree to Mary Clarke, second in 1823 to Ann Collis, who was single.

There seem to be at least two Jonah/Jonas around in the 1770s - one in Halstead parents John/Hannah c1777. Also there are others earlier!

You're absolutely right, I've added a note on Ancestry, then searching other viable found a Bucknell that was an incorrectly transcribed Cracknell!!
At least it proves that the siblings were around!

You absolute star!!!!! Thank you!!!
On a 1911C I  Shepherds Bush, I'd found Mary Ann Hart w/o Daniel jnr with a whole raft of family including a Winifrid Ada Bucknell c1892 Brighton and I've spent a fair bit of the morning trying to work her out if she was another relative, the census states sister in law.

I've been struggling to find them in 1851.  Where would you expect them to be?
Me too! I would expect them to be in London, purely because I'm assuming Daniel snr dies c1845 Kents Place, Paddington (I found this address on an interesting late baptism of daughter Sarah Lucy in 1844). I had hoped Charles would show up with his mother as sometimes that's an easier name to spot, but he doesn't. I have Daniel jnr in 1841, 1871, 1881.

No, I saw that as well, there seems to be another family in London too with similar names, but they're around Stepney and Mile End.
Daniel and Sarah had a son Daniel b1831 who married twice in London, a mixture of painter decorators, plumbers, around Paddington. They're not showing up on Census very well, but I do have Sarah on 1861 with her son Charles (Hemings) Bucknell 20yr and grandson Daniel 2yr.
Chn of Daniel/Sarah that I believe survived are Sarah Lucy, Daniel, Broughton, Charles, and three, John, James and Stephen currently unaccounted for.
