I came across a Hungarian family in the 19th century who (out of 12 children) had 5 daughters named Maria who died in infancy before the 6th one survived to adulthood. They also had 3 sons named Mihaly, with only the 3rd surviving past infancy. This seems fairly common at this time, especially with high infant mortality.
