Would appreciate if someone could do a lookup in Archives Wellington for the following records. Aha! I was in the Te Ahu (Kaitaia) archives today and saw a whole lot of entries in the registers for Mangatakauere - one word not 2 

So with that, I googled it when I got home. Mangatakauere is by Pamapuria, which is just south of Kaitaia on SH1.

There are also quite a lot of "since dead" entries too throughout the baptism registers, and very few Occupations listed.

I have seen that Te Ahu (our local archives) have intentions to marry and as I have a long list of things to look up I am off to there tomorrow.  Maybe the intentions to marry for here are held here ....  one can only hope
