Thanks for the advice---I'll give a try---although I haven't had much luck in getting newspapers to respond ;-) Emails from Crazy Americans go in the circular file.....

Does this mean just just because our English ancestors left England for America you won't respond to Americans trying to research their ancestors because they're "Crazy Americans"? It's a shame to be judged this way without any insight as to why. It be a shame if that one "Crazy American" was the yDNA tester who could solve a family mystery? I'm thankful for our distance cousins from England, Wales, Scotland, Canada and Australia have collaborated and participated in DNA testing to help solve our brick wall without ignoring us as "Crazy Americans".

I noticed you mentioned John Endecott was married in Chard. Do you have anymore information on this marriage? This is the first mention of Gov. Endecott in Chard that I've heard of. He's missing from records from his birth until he's in his 20's. Thanks for any info you might have! :)
