Hi Lisa

I have also tried looking into this but still no luck. Not even sure if she kept her married name, maiden name or even if she had changed her name completely?

Kind regards

Cheryl

Hi William

Yes I have looked into her mum's will and she had left everything to her son in law and granddaughter. Mary's sister passed away before her mum did. I thought it was strange as nothing was left to Mary 🤔

Kind regards

Cheryl

Ah ok. I did manage to find out on forces war records that on his medal that he had a  stripe for being wounded and his next of kin was in Leigh ? Not sure how accurate that is? as he lived in Aberdeenshire all his life.

Hi

Thomas did survive the war as he lived until 1950 and had more children 😊. Its a shame his enlistment records didn't survive. Thank you again

Hi I wonder if you can help me. I am currently researching an ancestor Thomas Berry Born 1870 Fetteresso Aberdeenshire. I have found his Medal Rolls index card but would love to find his enlistment   enrollment. Thomas's Regiment number is 38329, S/20230, S/21138.

Thank you

My other predicament is there is no 1911 census for Mary A Riach or Thomas Berry. I know they both got married in September that year.

I have also looked on Mary's marriage to Thomas and it says he was a widower then. He was divorced to Isabella. So I am not sure if Mary passed away. I have a feeling she emigrated possibly to Canada?
