Sussex Lookup Requests / Re: Coxwains of Hastings Lifeboat
« on: Thursday 05 February 09 01:56 GMT (UK)  »
 :)
Hi! Chris in 1066,
My name was Picknell and my ancesters were from Hastings.
In my family tree I have a William Picknell born in 1802 ; died 1881.
He was the son of William the Elder born 1776 , burried at Fairlight Church Sussex.
He married Fairlight Church Sussex.
William Picknell married Elizabeth Brett in 1822 at the Church in the Wood , Hollington , Sussex , Hastings.
They had 9 children all born in Hastings.  One of them was a Charles Picknell born 1828 and could tie in with your Charles Picknell 1858, making him about 30 years.
I have more info if you would like it.
Ann Powell [nee picknell]

Robert John or John Robert Morgan was killed in an accident at sea early 1900s. he was in the Royal Navy.
All that is known is that he was at one time married to an Emma Louise Dash. and presumably married abt; 188-- something.
records show Emma born 1860 and family but can't seem to be able to find him  or their marriage.     [he's a mistery man.]
