Just for information, The Victoria Bars is known locally as Vic Bars and if you go onto http://www.newquayvoice.co.uk and enter vic bars in the news search box you will find quite a few recent articles about it.

Thanks for replying so quickly Hepburn.  I should have said that I have seen that entry on the OPC page and also on the extracted entry on IGI with details of their children.   ::)
I am hoping that someone might come up with any details of any possible baptisms ;D

Lincolnshire / David Shaw

I am looking for any information on David Shaw.  He married Mary Ann Grey on 17th December 1826 at Boston (extracted entry on IGI).  I can't find him on the 1841 census although Mary is listed as a wife but assume that he might be the David Shaw who according to the Lincolnshire Burial Index died in 1840 and is buried at St. Botolph, Boston aged 40.  Therefore he would have been born approx 1799.
Many thanks.

Hello,
If anyone has access to the Wainfleet registers would they be kind enough to look up the baptism of Mary Ann Grey (Gray) born approx 1799 Wainfleet.  Many thanks.

Hi Nanny Jan,
That could be a possible.  I notice in 1881 his trade was painter, whereas on the marriage certificate it was Labourer, but also that Helena isnt listed as a scholar which is good because Eleanor only put her mark on the marriage certificate.  I will investigate further on this family.
Many thanks
Lynda
